Company Founder
About:
I’m Sandy, founder of Zoo Bridal, which I opened 17 years ago after a career in interior design, fashion, and hairdressing.
Since then, we’ve grown to include Hire the Runway and our in-house label, Indigo Summer, named after my granddaughter.
Now semi-retired, I’ve passed the reins to my daughter Amber and split my time between the Sunshine Coast and Mandurah—spending time with my grandkids and continuing to design and curate gowns that are perfect for every type of bride.

I’ve been part of Zoo Bridal since I was 16, and what started as a weekend job in my mum’s store has grown into a lifelong passion.
After time in New Zealand and becoming a mum of two, I returned to Mandurah in 2021 and stepped into a bigger role at Zoo, now proudly partnering with Mum to grow the business. Becoming a bride myself gave me a deeper appreciation for how personal this journey is. I’m passionate about helping each bride create a gown that truly reflects who she is.
